Doubling my power

So rite now I run a 1x4 Fatboy box.I was talking over with Peddler about going 8 pill.....maybe his 8 pill if the rite deal was struck,hes looking at maybe going smaller.So the question is would it be worth all I would have to go thru to run something that big in my mid sized car? Mount would need to be made permanent via a hole in my roof

Coax would have to be upgraded to something like 9913 to handle the power

I would need what 2 batteries minimum more likely 3 or more to have enough juice to power the beast

Not to mention Im not too sure my stock alternator would be able to keep up with all these batteries

I guess as I type Im answering my own question but I will ask anyway.....do you think it would be worth all the headaches and expense

your stock alt. will not handle it 213 coax will handle the power i would buy a brand new fat boy 8 pill you will need 2 batteries and you will need a 3 pill to drive it if you want it to last do not volt it Twisted Evil

Yeah so I need a bigger alternator,2 more batteries,better more expensive coax and to cut a hole in my roof cause I dont think the mags will give the ground needed for that kind of power

Not that it couldnt be done.....I just dont know if I want to tackle all that rite now.I wish I had the cash to go uot and get an older pickup or burban and just start putting it together 1 piece at a time.Its hard to undertake a project like this on a vehicle you rely on for daily transportation.Yeah thats what I need.....a rolling radio room devoted just to the hobby and nothing more Rolling Eyes

Given the current ecenomic and job conditions around here well this may wind up being nothing more than a pipe dream Sad

Hard times are hitting everywhere I guess Sad

Things around here are bleak,worthwhile jobs are few and far between unless you want to take to the road for long haul.I actually started making a move on a job like that and the wife put the brakes on it Embarassed

Other than that theres factory and production work but for like $8.50 an hour Suspect

Im used to $17.00 per hour. affraid

You can drive it with a straight 2 pill....
4 batteries.....
Battery isolator....
rg-8 is good enough...it will handle the power just fine....
is it worth it to you?
i think i am going to motormaul this **** up and keep it all.
Heres about fatboy....
Open up a davemade box
and a fatboy box.
notice in the larger boxes (5+ pills)
dave box has capacitors, and a few other components that the fatboy box does not have.
Sacrifice quality for cost of production.....Yo thats what i want in a 700 dollar investment.... Rolling Eyes

Also anything over a 6 pill dave goes in a 16 pill case, more heat dissipation.
Fatboy 8 pill in a small case is 650.00 + shipping
I can give you brand new 8 pill dave box (in a 16 pill case...) for 660.00 + shipping.
Yes I am a davemade dealer now, and it would be just as easy to be a fatboy dealer, but I like the quality of the dave boxes better.

And yes i run a fatboy 3 pill, but charger didnt build it, Bob did, atleast he knows what the fkuc he is doing, he should build his own stuff and tell fatboy to go pound sand.

first off dave is not making boxes i have a fat boy special made 6 pill that is in line for 7 years this box will take a stock 8 pill you dont need a motermaul for a eight pill a big alt. with 2 batteries will work fine regular rg8 is junk 213 or better gets the best results i will stick with fat boy his boxes are quality Twisted Evil
