That would take a few people by surprize wouldn't it. Yeah it is just an old 29ltd. Do you think that Peddler can get them?? That might be better than a dual mosfet 949.

Im sure he can get them he is hooked up with a couple of the biggest wholesale suppliers.Yeah that would take people by surprise for sure.It would probably smoke a dual mosfet 949 only you wouldnt have ssb capability. You know what I have a brand new 29 sitting in the basement,hasnt even had the box opened. MMMMMMM the possibilities What about going all out and having it put in my 959 Gosh darnit some radio I own is gonna wind up with one of those in it Shawn

They are limited...they run very hot and you need to run an external speaker. They are basically a 2-pill amp slid inside the radio. Imagine the heat of a Connex 4600 without the cooling fins or the fan...HOT.

I think that for the do it yourselfer it would be OK, bu8t to pay for a shop to install that might add up fast. If you need a fan as well then it would be cheaper to get an export or small amp.
