Because you are going to piss yourself with this one.
So I was fooling around with that brand new shiny amp today when my nosey neighbour comes over to see why I'm not at work. So I'm trying to talk while wiring it up. Guess what, I wired it backwards and blew the pills. I need the drink now

Holy hell no protection diode built into that thing Man that sucks,but I guess we have all had that kind of stuff happen to us...some more than others No worse than the time I switched out radios and put my mint old school 2970 non dx in line.When I unplugged the coax from the other radio the shield ground broke without my knowledge.Receive didnt seem rite so stupid me I keyed it up and asked for a radio check.Well about all I got out was ...how bout....and the magic smoke claimed my favorite radio Shawn

Not sure about the diode, but there will be one in there when I'm done with it. In my big plan, its s spare / learning toy. I have the TNT 350 hd for the base, and a 2 pill AB amp for the mobile. The next amp I'm buying for 10-12 metres will be a texas star 2 pill. Down the road I'm looking at a 1kw tube for the HF rig.
