Yeah the more I think about it Im definately leaning.....leaning hard towards a radio like this instead of a browning or something like that. They really are beautiful old radios but old is the operative word here.Older than dirt to be quite honest and being that old they must be looked upon as having the means to nickle and dime you to death unless you are radio saavy and can fix pesky little problems on your own.Heck there are only 2 places that I know of who specialize in the old tube stuff.Neither of them is close so now you have to pack up your gigantic radio and pay what? $30/$40 bucks to ship it with insurance and tracking and all the good stuff to keep your investment safe. Now Golden Eagle Radios gets your rig and finds wxy and z problems with it,its going to cost lets say $100 to get it back up to snuff.Plus lest we forget we have to pay Golden Eagle Radios another $30/$40 to ship it back to you.

Well by this point my head would be spinning cause now I have another $180 invested in a 35/40 year old radio, and who knows when its going to decide to act up again and I have to go through all this again.Oh and what happens when you have to completely retube the radio? Can you say cha-ching$$$$$ Yup the more I think about it they sure are pretty to look at but ownership might not be so pretty

One day.....when money is not an object however I will own one just so I can say I do.
