What the heck was I thinking?

I had an apifany tonight Shocked

Why on Gods green earth would I spend that kind of money on a new base.Seriously,why? I have decided Im going to fix up the old Cobra 90ltd base I already have.Its in mint shape,hell I even have the original box for it.It needs peaked and tuned and the meter fixed,only works on transmit.I might even gay it up with blue leds and a color changing meter light if I like.Going to get a nice d104 desk mic to go with it and be done with it.At least this way when we move and I set up a base again if I have neighbor problems I wont have 4/$500.00 tied up in a radio I cant use

Maybe after the move and I see what the neighbor situation is I might at some point decide to go with the big bad 10 meter base but not rite now.Im thinking I would much rather save that money towards the purchase of a bike come spring time Very Happy

Naw I dont work on radios.It will probably go to Peddler for a peak and tune and maybe a final upgrade if its a real pig.Probably no mosfets on this one.Then I will see how it works and if I like it maybe do the blue lights and one of them ultra gay color changing meter lights just for fun Very Happy

I just decided why the heck spend several hundred on something I may not even be able to use when we move.I already have this laying around so why not put it to use.Shawn
