Well, I'm running a Doc tuned HR 2510 now. It has the ChipSwitch in it and Doc fixed it up real good. Works great on all bands and I have found that trying to run a 2018 mic is just to much for it. I have found that the Sky Thumper noise cancelling mic for my voice works the best, especially on SSB. This bad boy I'm keeping.

I have heard the term used a lot with the 2510/2600 and the other model which escapes me rite now but...I have no idea what the heck chipswitched means.What is it kinda like a viagra board deal or just a different than usual conversion process? Inquiring minds want to know Shawn

Its like a CPU for computers. Replace the stock one with a chipswitch and you get about another 50 functions on the radio. Like 10-12 metre operation without having to to put a viagra board in or switches.
