Runnin around here tryin to get things in shape for the winter.Cleanin up and out all the flower beds and such.leaf duty, branch cleanup and all that other good stuff so I will have less to do in the spring.Man this place is a project and a half! Never had a property this size to take care of before.Wifey wants to do a major re-construction of the front of the house and the driveway circle come spring so I figured I better get a jump start on things now so I can devote my time to her project in spring. Her project will not only require digging up multiple large bushes but Im thinking probly roto-tilling the whbole front to break up and kill all the errant bamboo roots that has transplanted itself among all said bushes. The bushes look ok but she wants them spread out and I want to kill the bamboo cause I had to climb around in the bushes and cut all the bamboo shoots out like 3 times this year so far and they are back again.Hey Binrat why dont you come down here for a littls spring vacation and lend a hand flower Bey youll still be socked in by snow and I will have flowers blooming lol! Allright back to the gardening madness...BUMP BUMP

Oh, you have really turned into a bit of a house husband there, haven't you. Very Happy Very Happy
Go to TSC and get yourself like a gallon of roundup and spray that around and in the spring have at it.
I'll come down, find a nice chair and sit and watch you doing all that manly work. Shocked

Oh dude you have never dealt with bamboo have you??? Im telling you man this stuff is impervious to every chemical known to man.Your puny little roundup is no match for bamboo.Thats why the idea of rototilling,I figure killing the root is the only way and that may not even work.Once bamboo gets hold it just keeps branching out farther and farther if you let it go.I mow down the stuff that tries to encroach into the main part of the yard every week and every week its back 18/24 inches high.Problem out front is its all mixed in with the ornamental bushes and you cant just keep mowing it down.Shawn
