| Lighthearted subject heading yes but...It is with a very heavy heart that I say channel 21 has lost one of its flock.Snowman[Mike to his friends] passed away this evening at 9:30pm from complications after being treated for a liver condition since he was rushed to the hospital on the 14th.I know there arent very many on this forum anymore but thought I would announce it anyway in case there is anyone on here who knew him.Mike was a great guy and he will be sorely missed by myself and many many others.God Bless Ya Mike maybe you can talk the REAL BIG MAN into putting up an 11 meter antenna cause elevation is everything and height is might.Shawn _________________ Snowman...The Real #1 around the Keystone. You will be missed...You will not be forgotten.R.I.P my friend. |

binrat | It hit me even harder this morning when I woke.Yesterday it was sorrow but mostly shock.Who would have thought a 37 year old man who was perfectly healthy up until the 14th of this month become so suddenly ill and worse yet take such a quick turn for the worse. He was supposed to come home today...not to live out his last days,he was supposed to come home to get all better. This morning as usual I came downstaris and grabbed a drink and headed to the radio/computer room.I usually turn on the radio and then go check the emails and forums. It takes a lot for me but...when I walked over and looked at the radio I instantly welled up.I guess it was the fact that I would never again talk to Snowy on the air that really hit me.He was one of the good guys and a good friend.I knew him for about ten years, ever since I got back into radio. He was one of the first guys I talked to and he became someone I looked forward to hearing when I turned on the set.Well I never did turn it on this morning, dont know why.I guess it was kinda my moment of silence for Snowman The Real #1 Around The Keystone_________________ Snowman...The Real #1 around the Keystone. You will be missed...You will not be forgotten.R.I.P my friend. |
