How are they for radios and amps for base operations?? They seem to be relatively cheap up my way.

Well thats a tough question.Ranger states rite on their site that "SOME" switching power supplies can cause noise to get into the receiver section of your radio.I have heard some people complain about this problem happening to them but not a lot.I myself am running an APS Cascade switching power supply for both my radio and amp via a couple of distribution blocks[Nighthawks idea]and I havent noticed any extra noises of anything due to the power supply. They certainly seem to be a lot cheaper than traditional power supplies so in my opinion it is worth the risk. The worst that could happen is you have an issue and you resell the power supply and lose a couple bucks. afro Shawn
