Talkin to the Hammie that works in another area here on base. He's got a small "care" package for me. I know for sure it has a 5/8 wave base antenna, 2 - 3 rolls of RG213 coax, a few radios and don't know what else. Like a kid in a candy store, I can barely wait to pick it up tomorrow.

I know how you feel,I was as giddy as a schoolgirl when your package hit my doorstep a couple months back.It was like christmas opening it up and unpacking everything.Long live the cb radio care package Laughing

Yeah Im hoping to be into full swing by the time dx rolls across Pa again too.Hopefully I will be sitting in my radio room working international dx on my 2980 without a care in the world,like bleeding the neighbors or anything. Now that would be great.Oh well either way,if I cant talk I will invest in a top quality reciever,like the Kenwood r-2000 I never should have sold.After all I been sitting here just listening for the last 7 years so whatever.Sure would be nice though to pull this off without ruffling anyones feathers.Yeah as you can tell Im nervous as hell,I want to run a base so badly I can taste it.I spent all day today nervous as hell that the landlord was going to call and ask.....just what is that monstrosity sticking up off of my deck[the antenna]Or the ever popular the neighbors called me today and they have some concerns confused

Oh well its been up one full day and so far so good.Saturday will be the clincher at least as far as the landlord goes.He will be over to light all the pilot lights when the gas gets turned back on,I can only hope he doesnt go out back for anything but what are the chances of that Question
